Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of daily life

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

We start by talking about the listening and I ask ss questions likw "what type of art are you interestedi n?" or "Would you prefer being a performer or speactator and why?"

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Since the first two lessons (the listening) work as the exposure stage, no further exposure is needed in this lesson. Teacher helps clarify the grammar further.

Students open page 139 and do 9.1 A and B as controlled practice.
