Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T performs an action and the students try to guess -T writes language on the whiteboard -One student performs and action and students try to guess

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

-T writes language on the whiteboard using complete sentences -T highlights present continuous language structure -Students practice choral and individual pronunciation -Students write their own sentences following the examples from the whiteboard

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

-T highlights useful language -Students repeat and practice -T monitors students' performance

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

-Ss think of a movie they already watched and assumed they are watching it now -Ss write the plot of the movie using present continuous structure -Ss take time to read and practice -Ss describe the movie orally using present continuous structure

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

-T jots down any language mistake -T devises an exercise to correct, reformulate and praise. -Ss work on the language to correct and reformulate -Ss share language mastered
