In this lesson the students will speak about their future holiday.

Main Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of holidays.

Subsidiary Aims

To provide clarification, review and practice of holiday in the context of travel/holidays.

Procedure (41-38 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (5-8 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1. In pairs, read the questions in the box. 2. Use the questions in the box to ask about your partner's last or next holiday. 3. Share something interesting you learned about their holiday.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

1. In pairs, think of five pieces of advice to give to someone traveling to your country. 2. Write down your ideas. 3. Share your ideas with the class (explain why).

Useful Language (5 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

1. Make a list of the new vocabulary 2. Explain MPF The students will chorally repeat the new words.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

1. In pairs, think of ten attractions in your country. 2. Make a list of the attractions. 3. How would you recommend them to your visiting foreign friend (explain in detail).

Feedback and Error Correction (5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
