Procedure

Unit 7C Section 1A (10-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1A: Ss will discuss the questions with one another as a warm-up. I will begin with an example: I like to go Fayoum on weekends and camp in the desert.

Section 1 (10-20 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

1B: Students will work in pairs to discuss what happened. 1C: Check as a whole class by listening to the audio twice. 1D: Students answer the questions in pairs. 1E: Students listen twice and check the answers. 1F: Students circle which is correct in pairs.

Section 2 (10-20 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

1A: Students work in pairs to solve the question. 1B: Listen to the pronunciation and elicit the musicality. 1C: Elicit answers from the students. 1D: Elicit answers from the students. 1E: Match in pairs, listen alone, check as a class. 1F: Work in pairs. 1G: Order in pairs, listen alone, check as a class. 1H: Students speak to each other in pairs and practice the dialogue.

Section 3 (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

3A and 3B: Ss listen and check as a whole class why the stress is placed.

Section 4 (10-20 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

4A: Listen to the audio and determine alone, then check as a class. 4B: Work in pairs to determine the words and check as a class. 4C: Elicit from the class. 4D: Listen alone and check as a class.

Unit 7D Section 1 (10-20 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

1A: Students tick alone and then discuss in pairs. 1B: Ss read and then explain why they would live with their choice. 1C: Listen to the audio and elicit the answer. 1D: Listen to the audio, tick, check in pairs, then show the answers. 1E: Ss discuss in pairs and then check as a whole class.

Section 2 (10-20 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

2A: Ss read, tick, and then check in pairs. 2B: Ss read, number, and then check in pairs.

Section 3 (10-20 minutes)

3A: Work in pairs and check as a class. 3B: Work in pairs and check as a class. 3C: Work in pairs and check as a class.

Section 4 (10-20 minutes)

4A: Do as a class. 4B: Work alone and create a list individually, then share with each other in groups. 4B cont.: List together as a class.
