To provide practice of language used for of functional language to ask for directions in the context of looking for an apartment address
To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of looking for an apartment address
Procedure (44-51 minutes)
How well do you know Toronto? Do you find it easy to find an address in toronto?
Write down words related to directions on the board/ vc board, to present the functional exponents (eg. turn left, turn right).
Chose an address on the Map Student A reads the directions to the chosen address and provides it to student B. Student B follows the directions on the map, and locates the address.
Give hot or delayed feedback. Acknowledge student participation.
Teach/ present significant functional exponents with MFP.
Repeat the same task with different address, and reverse student roles.
Acknowledge student participation and give feedback. Clarify any questions.
