Procedure (30-43 minutes)
T will let sts write all the adjectives they know to describe people´s appearance like tall, pretty and etc. When finished T will divide the group, sts compare their list and decide who has the most words. Then T will write them on the board.If other groups have any different words T will add them to the list.
T will give sts HO´s #1, and tell sts to match the words with its meaning. After matching T will now divide the class into two, give the answer key of the activity then let sts check their answers. After checking the answers T will now do an error checking by eliciting from the sts the right meaning of each word.
Sts will play a ¨board rush¨ game. Mechanics: T will tell the meaning of a word, sts will come to the boar, find the right vocabs then grab it. The one who will be able to grab the right word earns a point for the group.
T wants sts to work in groups, writes two questions on the board then ask sts to discuss the questions by giving reasons on thier answers.
T puts sts into groups of three. One student reads out definitions from V6.1 SB p130, beginnng with These people..... The other two students try to say the correct adjective. The student with the most points after a certain limit wins..
T gives the article to the sts (only the title and the 1st three paragraphs are seen, rest are folded). T asks whats the headline of the article? Who do you think is the enemy? T elicits. After checking the answer (teenagers),T lets sts unfold the article totally and tell them to read it and answer the question.the remaining question. T checks the answer with the class.
T ask sts to read the article again. Sts tick the true sentences and correct the false ones. When they finish T checks the answers with the WC.
