in this lesson,students learn to talk about their feelings. and also they learn about adjectives with -ed / -ing.

Main Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of emotions

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification of feelings in the context of emotions

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

at this stage I'm going to ask them about their feelings and ask them to describe how they feel today.

Pre-Listening (5-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

at this stage teacher going to have a conversation with students about a hypothetical situation to warm the students up

presentation (15-20 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information speaking/listening tasks

at this stage teacher going to teach student past participle and present participle. then students going to have some exercises to learn the grammar better.

practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference speaking/listening tasks

at this stage they're going to do exercises in the book and then the class will check it together.

production (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

at this stage students will have a game. its a peace of paper with photos and some descriptions and teacher will write some adjective in two lines ending with -ed / -ing form on the board then they're going to select and say how they feel about the situation which is mentioned in the paper.
