Description

In this lesson, students are going to learn about (there is) and (there are) and how to use them. It starts with a lead-in part and eliciting students, then practice and finally in the end, production.

Procedure

Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • Eliciting students and set them up for the lesson

I am going to tell the students that I am making a list of some of things that are in our class. First I am going to make some examples using there are and there is and then I am going to ask them to help me.

Practice (6-8 minutes) • To teach students the new words and of this lesson

I am going ask them to open their class books and in pairs put the nouns in the correct columns. And then I'm going to play the track for them to check their pronunciation and explain them the meaning of the words they don't know.

Practice (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context with a little practice and engage students

In this part I'm going to ask the students to listen to the audio and complete the exercise 1 in their class books and then practice the conversation with their partners. This exercise will set them up for the full explanation in the next part.

Presentation (3-5 minutes) • To teach the students the full grammar part of the lesson.

Here I am going to write the full grammar part of the lesson on the WB and show what's the correct form of using it in positive, negative and the question form. In this part the TTT gets high so I have to finish this part as short and simple as I can.

Practice (6-8 minutes) • Engaging students to use the target language that has been taught in the last part

First I am going to ask the students to describe the picture in the exercise 2 and 3 and then I am going to pair them two by two to ask and answer the questions in the exercise 3. This part will make them ready for the production part

Production (10-13 minutes) • To make the students use the target language and get their feedback

I am going to ask the students to write a writing about the things that are in their bedrooms and list the things as a writing.
