"Would you like to..." "I'd rather..." "I'd like to..." listen, and check for order of places mentioned before checking answers in pairs. T will show answer key for Ss to check their work.

Clarification (10-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T will use highlighting of TL from dialogue before clarification stage using CCQs, "Do the parents give their son options to choose what to do?" "Does the son prefer to stay at home? Ss will be given the opportunity to test what they already know using a guided discovery activity sheet to identify the M, F, P of three TL lexical phrases: "Would you like to.." "Do you want..." "I'd rather..." Ss will work in pairs to complete worksheet while T monitors each BOR. T will show answer key for each M,F,P and give any feedback of good language and where errors were mentioned during pair work.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Ss will be given the opportunity to imagine a day off in pairs/small groups to practice with TL , "Would you like to.." and "I'd rather..."through drilling by examples of taking turns with question and response from key of suggested activities. Each pair will take turns as Student A and Student B in order to have practice asking and responding.
