C1+ level

Description

In this lesson, the student will be instructed about the program, needs, and time needed to accomplish a C2 level. The student will learn about the technologies, the assignments, homework, and the method we will follow for this course C2. The student will read, analyze and practice Problem lenses. He will revise and learn some uses for the present perfect, such as: the use with other present tenses, use with past tense, use with another present perfect, use with future forms, use with since and yet, use with other phrases. He will be assigned the section one practice material form to do an at-home activity. Finally, I will show the student the exercises we will use for skills, and to help take him to a very advanced level.

Materials

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, practice and review of The perfect tenses in the context of English acquisition in a set period of time

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice of diverse grammar and vocabulary sets in the context of Living in Flats in England

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show the ss the padlet and explain the resources and technologies we will use in our class. I will then ask the ss to read the first slide about his background and career, needs, and objectives. Finally, I will ask the ss to describe how he learned English and to describe it in detail.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will ask the ss to explain everything he knows about the present perfect tenses and to create a context to it.

While-Reading/Listening (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will ask the ss to read the problem tenses in 4 minutes and write down some ideas.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will work each and every part of this material and we will practice each case. The ss will be able to understand and use the perfect tenses with ease and in a natural mode.

Post-Reading/Listening (30-45 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask the student to choose 2 exercises from the slide named practice and we will review it together.
