Description

Class Profile The students are 14 years and 40 girls. They are with mixed abilities: About 10 girls approaching the level, 22 girls basic and 8 girls below basic level. The below basic level needs much concern in reading and answering the questions quickly and correctly. Gils with approaching level need more practice in speaking fluency and writing accurately.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Pre Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T. have a short class discussion using one of Kegan Structure : Stand up, Hands up , Pair up Student stand up with one hand in air until find the closest partner who is n't teammate. T. asks Ss to discuss the expression according to the video . T. provides "think time" Vocabulary : T. presents (wealthy) T. asks eliciting questions: Is your family rich or poor? Do they have a lot of money? Are they walthy? (wealthy):possessing a large amount of money CCQs: Do you have or borrow money? (have) Is the amount large or small ?(large) Is your family wealthy? While/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks
