In this course, students will learn and recognize the colors they know in Turkish before.


Main Aims

  • To provide students' recognizing colors and distinguishing the colors of animals, materials and objects around them.

Subsidiary Aims

  • At the same time, to contribute to students' better learning of objects, animals,materials...


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First, students are shown a picture containing all the colors they will learn. like a rainbow. and which ones do you know to measure students' knowledge? which one is your favourite? such questions are asked. teacher constitute discussion about colors in the class.

Exposure (2-5 minutes) • provide to students learn the content in a permanent way.

The teacher opens an educational and instructional video to appeal to all learning styles and age groups of students. starts to teach colors as student-centered through video and slides.

reinforce (2-4 minutes) • To reinforce does activity with pictures of fruits and animals.

The teacher shows the students the colorful pictures of animals and fruits that attract the attention of the students, and the students try to guess the colors of the animals and fruits in the picture.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

The teacher plays the ball game in order to understand whether the students have learned colors and to make what they learn in a fun way. The teacher throws the colored balls that s/he brought to the class to the students and then asks the student to know the color of the ball and to say an animal or fruit of that color.

Feedback (8-10 minutes) • To check the students' creativity

Finally, the teacher asks each student to say the color of the clothes they are wearing to check if each student understands.
