Description

In this lesson students will learn about -ed and -ing adjectives in the context of watching too much TV. Students will be getting the essence of their reading materials by picking up pieces of the text that will get them to the main idea. We'll talk about the MFP of the target language. They will work on a gap-fill exercise for the controlled practice. They will get a chance to use the TL and their existing language knowledge by exchanging information in a meaningful way with their partners in the BOR.

Text work (4-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation.

I will show the text to the Ss. I will ask Ss to read the text quickly and find the answers to the following questions: 1. How much TV does a typical American family watch every day? 2. Who watches more TV in the UK, men or women? Learners will compare answers in pairs, then I will ask them to read the text and correct their answers, OCFB
