In this lesson students are going to practice speaking in the context of Living in Fear. First students are going to watch pictures illustrating the Vocabulary related to the context of the lesson.Students then will be exposed to controlled using the target language. Most of the time they will practice speaking about topics related to the context.

Main Aims

  • To provide students practice speaking skill in the context of Living in Fear

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide students practice the some vocabulary related to the context of the lesson.

Procedure

Lead-in (5 minutes) • To set the context of the lesson and rise their interest in the topic

Teacher will show students some pictures and ask them to guess how these people are feeling. Teacher wll show them two or three pictures.

Pre-teach Vocabulary (12 minutes) • To provide students opportunity to learn the new vocabulary related to the context of the lesson

Teacher will hand some students definitions and others the words for these definitions. Students with definitions will hunt the words for their definitions. The students with words will try to guess the definition of the words they are going to hear from the classmates..

Controlled practice of speaking (13 minutes) • provide students controlled speaking in the context of Living in Fear.

Teacher will give students handouts about different situations. He will ask them to have look think about what their reaction might be in that situations. Then ask to work in pairs and discuss about these situations.

Follow up (15 minutes) • To provide students practice fluent speaking in the context of Living in Fears

Students will line up for this activity. They stand in two lines facing each other and discussion about the topic and picture which appearss
