In this Unit students learn Daily Vocabulary related to their schoolife and it preapares them to their everyday routine. In this unit we cover following grammar topics : to have got, Present Simple, plural nouns, this/these. Also here we have the full set of Speaking, Listening and Writing, furthermore it teaches students to mange their tima and to work individually and assess their progress.

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of the vocabulary related to students' life
  • To provide review of Present Simple

Subsidiary Aims

  • To develop self assessment skills


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Using Visuals - Timetable, what is this? On a boardor projector

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

Repeating days of the week, time and highliting vocabulary related to subjects. Ex 1 Listen and repeat days of the week Look at the pictures and Mandy's timetable

Task (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Listening and answering the questions using previous vocabulary Speaking. Group or pair work asking and answering questions Listening comprehension

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

To creat a Dream School Timetable and to tell about it to your classmates in pair or in groups.

Report (5-7 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

Self assessment, to ecourage students to analyse their work and develop self assessment skills
