Productive Task(s) (17-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

I will have students do the following activity in which they will be writing an email to respond to an invitation. (Google slides) Your friend tom is inviting you to watch a soccer game. Write a reply email to accept or refuse the invitation. To: ______________ From: Tom Subject: Let’s watch the game Hi ________, How are you? I haven’t heard from you in a long time. I hope everything is going well at work. Are you doing anything on Saturday? This weekend is the soccer world cup finale. I am inviting some friends over to see the game. Would you like to come? It would be great to see again. Everyone will be bringing something. Could you bring something too? Cheers, Tom Students will write in the following space provided for them on the slide To: Tom From: ________________ Subject: Response to the invitation _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ (Each student will have an individual slide to read on with their name on it) Students will have 10 minutes to write. After writing students will have 7- 8 minutes to share their writings with each other in the breakout rooms (In the breakout rooms students can sharescreen to show each other their writings. If this is not possible for them students can read their partner's writing by changing to the slide on the google slide. This will be easy for them as each slide will have their names and they can also tell each other the number of their slide.)

Feedback and Error Correction (5-7 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

I will ask for a volunteer or nominate one students whose writing we will analyze together as a class. This will lead to OCF and DEC
