Procedure (3651 minutes)
The students have the cards from Sevdet's lesson. I will have them take the cards and give them simple commands. Example: put the ball on your chair.
I will hold up 5 fingers and I will ask how many fingers? I will do it a few times to make sure they get the concept.
I will play the count and move video twice and try to get students to count and join in.
First I will pre teach jar and box by using realia. Then I will draw some balls in the box and ask how many. I will do the same with the jar. I will hand out the pupils book. Then I will play the chant and have the students listen. Then I will play again and have the students try to say it. Then I will divide the students in two groups and have one group do the first line and the last 2 lines of the chant and the other group count and then I will reverse roles.
I will divide the students into pairs and I will show the first example and model the question. How many_____ are in the box? Then the students will count in pairs and as a class we will go over the answers.
I will hold up the Frodo card and ask who is this? This is asking my to use the L1 (but I won't) I will write 3 words on the board and the stressed portions in caps YELlow, SEven, RABbit. I will then say the words and clap on the main syllable. I will have the students repeat a few times. Then I will play the recording twice and have the students say and clap the stress.
Show the activity book and ask do you see the room? Put them in pairs. And ask how many bikes are in the room? Then have them count in pairs and we will go over the answers as a class
I will show the students the sheet and have them listen to the chant and fill in the numbers in the blanks
