Description

In this lesson the student will demonstrate what she has learn in unit 6 in the metro starter book and will do a complete review to activate and reinforce her previous knowledge about the topic and the lexical items of daily routines and house chores.

Abc zoom
Abc A worksheet about present simple.

Procedure

Ice Breaker (5-10 minutes) • To get the student into the lesson

Ask the student about her week and what did she do today.

Warm up. (20-25 minutes) • To activate student's previous knowledge.

1.- The student is going to solve a work sheet about the present simple. 2.- The student is going to do a dynamic activity in the wordwall platform.

1st cycle - listening and speaking. (15-20 minutes) • To provide student with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks.

Pre - task: The student is going to to listen to and audio and will solve task 1 of the speaking part on page 74 in the book. While task: The students are going to listen to another audio and solve task 2 on page 74 in the book. Post - task: The student will solve task 3 on page 74 in the book.

2nd cycle: Reading, writing and speaking. (15-20 minutes) • The student is going to develop her reading skill and practice the present simple in the context of daily routines.

Pre task: Ask the student her routine of yesterday. While task: The student is going to read the text on page 75 in the book. Post - task: The student is going to solve the task of the reading part on page 74 in the book.

3rd cycle : listening and writing. (10-15 minutes) • To provide student with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference listening tasks.

Pre task: The students are going to solve task 1 and 2 on page 76 in the book. While task: The student is going to watch the video and solve task 3 and 4 on page 76 in the book where she will have to put if the statements are true or false and also fill in the blanks of some statements. Post - task: The student will have to solve task 5 on page 76 in the book.

4th cycle: Speaking and writing. (20-25 minutes) • To reinforce the topic, check and make sure that the goal of the unit 6 was achieved.

Pre - task: The student is going to solve the review part of the vocabulary on page 77 in the book. While - task: The student is going to solve the review part of grammar on pages 77 and 78 in the book. Post - task: The student is going to solve the consolidation part of the review.

Cooler (3-5 minutes) • To finish the lesson

make sure that the student doesn't have any doubts about the topics of the unit 6 in the book.
