Description

In this lesson the students are going to practice the parts of the house using there is and there are to describe a house and its objects on it.

Abc Wordwall platform

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of there is and there are in the context of the objects of the house.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To learn how to describe our house and the objects on in.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1.-Ask the student about her weekend 2.-Ask the student if she know the parts of the house and the objects and to say the objects in each part of the house.

Cycle 1 (15-20 minutes) • To practice some speaking and describe a house

Pre - task: watch a video about the description of a house using there is and there are. While - task: The student is going to write the description of her house in her notebook. Post - task: The student is going to read the description of her house, she has just wrote.

Cycle 2 (20-30 minutes) • To practice there is and there are, reinforce the topic and make sure that the aim of the class was achieved

Pre - task: The student is going to play a game about there is and there are in the wordwall platform. While - task: The student is going to solve and exercise from a web site where she will have to complete some sentences with there is and there are. Post - task: The student will say order some sentences with there is and there are.
