Description

In this lesson the students are going to learn how to identify the members of their family.

Materials

Abc White board
Abc Metro Starter

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of Family in the context of who lives in your house.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide review of family members.

Procedure

Warm up. (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask the students if they remember about last class and have them write the verb to be in interrogative in the board. After that check the student's homework.

Pre-task. (10-15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Ask the students if they remember the members of the family and have them write them in the board. After that teach the students some vocabulary about the members of the family.

While - task 1 (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information.

1.- The students will listen and fill in the blanks in exercise 1 on page 28 in the book. 2.- check the students' exercise. 4.- The students are going to solve exercise 2 on page 28 in the book. 5.- The student's are going to listen to an audio and solve exercises 1 and 2 of the listening part. 6.- Check the students' exercise.

While-taks 2 (10-15 minutes) • To Practice the new vocabulary learned and develop skills to identify quickly the members of the family.

1.- The students are going to solve exercise 2 on page 118 in the book. 2.- check the students' exercise. 3.- The students are going to solve all the exercises of the extra vocabulary part on page 118 in the book. 4.- Check the students' exercise.

Post - Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the vocabulary and expand on what they've learned

1.- The student's are going to solve the part of the family members on page w2 in the book. 2.- Check the students' exercise. 3.- The students are going to solve the part of the family members on page w5. 4.- Check the students' exercise.
