Procedure

Lead-in (2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will share my screen with the Google Slides I will tell Ss I'm moving in with a friend and we have different habits. I will ask them if they have a roommate and if their habits are the same or different.

Prediction task (9 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Give Ss link to Google Slides and give them 2 min to put their name on the side that they relate to most. Give Ss 2 min to compare answers in BoR Give Ss 2 min to read the text Show them phrases with TL and point out TL

Language Clarification (10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Controlled Practice (9 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Give Ss link to Google Forms, and ask them to choose the correct option to fill in the blanks.Demo the first one. (5 min) Give Ss 2 minutes to check answers in pairs (on breakout rooms) Ask Ss why they chose the answers they did, and explain the correct one. (2 min)

Freer Practice (5 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Split Ss in pairs into breakout rooms where they will answer the questions (Who do you live with? What were you used to? What did you have to get used to?) (5 min) Will give an example myself.

Feedback and DEC (5 minutes) • Give feedback on the activities and error correction

Ask Ss to share some of their answers. Correct any mistakes Ss have made, or give examples of common mistakes and have Ss correct them.
