  • Practice speaking by describing objects in a basic way (color, object, size)

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (8-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets Ss and shows them a pencil case. T asks "What is this"? Ans: it is a pencil case Then T asks "What colors can you see?" Ans: White, blue, purple, red, yellow And lastly T asks "what colors are not here?" Ans: Green, pink, orange, brown T congratulates Ss and moves on with the activity T gives instructions: "Okay, Ss now we're going to play a game. I will take out some things from the pencil and you will tell me what it is, alright?" T demonstrates what students have to do "For example, (T takes out a pencil) It is a pencil. (Then T takes out an eraser) It is a pencil and it is an eraser." and so on. T continues until all students participate.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T provides positive feedback and corrects if necessary. T opens jamboard and presents the slides "Art club - What do we need?" and says "Now, let's see how we can pronunce them so please listen and repeat" then T plays the audio and pauses it for students to repeat. Then, T tell Ss to say the item of the number she will be saying for example "Number one" Ans: Coloring pencil.

Highlighting (4-6 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

T goes to activity 3 and reviews the number again asking Ss to count the dots. T projects the activity on the board and asks two volunteers to go and join them then T asks other two volunteers to go front and write the items names. T checks spelling with the class. Provides feedback and corrects if necessary.

Clarification (12-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T goes to act 4 and asks students what they see in the picture. Then teacher explains the instructions "First we are going to listen to the audio and number the pictures" Once Ss are done, T checks answers and then tells them to color the items as it is said on activity 5, T demonstrates by coloring one of the items on the board. After Ss finish doing that last act. T will show them the items again but hiding some parts of them so Ss can guess.

Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T projects and continues with activity 1, where Ss have to unscramble the words and put them in order. T gives Ss 2 minutes to look at the words and then asks for three volunteers to go to the front and write them. T checks spelling with the group. T continues the lesson on activity 2 "look and write" and asks students to draw, color and make sentences with the item. T will write an example on the board "It is a red color pencil." Students will write it three times.

Semi-Controlled Practice (10-15 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

T projects on the board activity 3 where Ss have to look, listen and match the items. T will play the audio once for students to listen and a second time for students to repeat. When students are done, T will ask for 3 volunteers to go to the board and match then T will ask again for other three volunteers to go to the front so they ask one of their classmates "What's this?" then they will answer with the correct item. Ex: "what's this? Ans: It is a stapler. After Ss finish their activity, teacher will go on to the next activity and will point the item, Ss will name it then T will match it depending on the Ss answers then T will ask Ss if their anwers are correct.

Free Practice (15-20 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T will play a musical video then students will describe it saying what colors and art items they could see. Then, T will tell them to draw their own art studio and add the different items to the drawing then they will write the name of the items under the picture. T checks and dismisses the class. Ticket out: T will ask Ss to mention 3 art items before they go.
