Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Have learners talk about 3 pictures related to the topic of the lesson. They'll find out why they're famous

Pre-teach vocabulary (4-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T explains Meaning, Form, and Pronunciation for the following words: 1. 2. 3. 4. Trough a matching activity by using google forms.

Listening for Specific Information and Detail Listening #1 (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The teacher will tell learners they will hear an audio to get specific information so they can match the order of the conversation with their classmates using a google form.

Check with their partners (2-4 minutes) • To give them the confidence to provide answers to the class before OCFB

The learners check the answers in pairs (via private messages) before OCFB (Open Class Feedback)

While-Listening #2 (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Learners listen a second (or third) time and answer detailed questions about the text by a google form/ jamboard. The teacher will give them the instruction on what they'll look for in the next activity. (Ex 5a). (on Google Forms)

Check with their partners/ group (3-4 minutes) • To give the learners the confidence to answer before the OCFB

The learners will go over the google form and compare their answers, then they will share them with the class

Post-Listening 1 (3-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The teacher will have learners respond to the contents of the text.

Post-Listening 2 (1-2 minutes) • To provide feedback on their task

Conduct feedback on the task

Delayed Error Correction (DEC) (3-4 minutes) • to provide learners the opportunity to recognize what they did well and wrong

The teacher will collect six/seven mistakes and write them on the whiteboard. Students will say if they are correct or incorrect and why.
