  • to practice listening with a alphabet songs and practice vocabs containing target language

Procedure

lead in • review the pre taught letters and focus on the order of the alphabet letters

teacher plays the alphabet song and ask students to listen and sing ' everyone lets listen watch and sing the abc song' ask them to open their mics or type 1 in chatbox if their ready teacher should sing and use gestures and mimes and use drilling

context • to interduce the new letter

teacher displays a powerpoint of words and pictures witj Ii and uses story telling interduce the characters and ask for ccq: whats their name/what do they like/what color do they see/ then plays the alphabet (I i) song are you ready to listen watch and sing the letter song?are u ready? pause the video and ask whats the word ask them to write the word on the air

focus on name and sound(s) • to make students aware of the name and the sounds of the new letter(target letter)

teacher opens the book and starts introducing the letter on the first page (the name is I whats the sound)

focus on written form • to teach ss how to write both the uppercase and lowercase letter

teacher opens the paint software and writes the letter (I i) ccq : whats the name whats the sound and asks students to give some examples : i is for"? then teacher (plays the write the letter) video.

practice 1 • to make sure ss write the target language letter correctly

teacher could use the board of the class or teacher asks students to bring their whiteboard and write the letter then show it the ccq : showing the letter and asking for sound and name

practice 2 • to make sure ss are able to recognize the sound and write the missing target letter

teacher opens the book and completes one of the practices that contains matching ,missing ,circling. whats the picture/I is for..../ teacher should emphasize the sound then say the word and ask students to drill then teacher asks students to finish the activity on book then open their webcam and show it then the other activity then teacher should also write the correct form

focus on blending • to make sure students are able to read and write a word containing the target language

teacher opens the paint software and writes simple words containing target language. ask students to read the word and blend the sounds,then show the picture of words and ask what is it then ask students to write the words on their boards open their webcam and show it write the word in a wrong way and ask for ccq if its correct or not ask them to blend the sounds

assignment • to have further practice

ask students to the rest of the activities on their book practice writing the letters
