  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of planning a trip

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students are welcomed to the hour of the class. Students receive the following context: What interesting travel destinations have you been to? Do you take any special items when traveling? What would you never travel without? Why? While students work, the teacher monitors. The teacher provides feedback

Exposure (12-12 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

The students receive the following link:https://forms.gle/24ncirrU6DYafU4J8 and are asked to work in pairs to solve the exercise in groups. While students work, the teacher monitors. Students receive accuracy feedback. NOTE: Students do not submit the task.

Controlled Practice (12-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Free Practice (15-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The students receive the following context: Imagine you are going on a bus tour.Ask about six things that your partner plans to take. Ask your partner to do three 3 things for you. Tell another classmate the questions your first partner asked, and what she or he aked you to do… While students work in breakout rooms, the teacher monitors. NOTE: Do not forget to exemplify with a learner

DEC (10-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

The students report to the teacher what were the results of the conversation. The teacher provides feedback.
