Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • iN THIS SECTION SS WILL RECOGNIZE AN ACTION IN PROGRESS IN THE PRESENT

IN PAIRS SS WILL MATCH THE PICTURES TO THE SENTENCES IN THE RIGHT. AND AS A GROUP WE WILL SOLVE THE WORKSHEET. THEN THE TEACHER WILL PERFORM 4 ACTIVITIES FROM THE LIST AND ASK STUDENTS TO DESCRIBE, CORRECTING WHEN NECESSARY. FINALLY, T ASKS SS TO DESCRIBE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SENTENCES ON THE WHITEBOARD: THE TEACHER IS READING A BOOK VS THE TEACHER READS A BOOK.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The students enter the link and they work with the vocabulary and grammar.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

One student per team will reconstruct the story by using the prompts 1. Mrs. Curious is not watching people from her balcony, but she is just dreaming. ( ) 2. The man at the florist’s is checking the time and he looks worried. ( ) 3. The butcher and his assistant are working in the shop at the moment. ( ) 4.
