in this lesson students will focus on vocabulary and the skill of listening. the context of the lesson is '8 top places to visit in a school trip' and learners are going to be encouraged to talk about their favorites and experiences.

Materials

Abc audio files,video,picture pdf

Main Aims

  • To provide vocabulary clarification of different places so as an out put learners are able to describe the words and talk about their own experience

Subsidiary Aims

  • to focus on listening skills . to provide fluency in speaking about personal ideas and experiences

Procedure

lead-in/warm up (5-7 minutes) • to set lesson context and engage students

teacher plays a short video of kids on a school trip and asks students to describe what they see in the video. 1.lets look/watch and say icq;are u going to watch or listen students will turn their mics on after clarifying the word school trip teacher shows a pp of school trip places and asks 1. which one is your favorite and describe why you like it

lesson objective/listening task (2-3 minutes) • to introduce target language,

introduce it; teacher says today i will learn to name places to visit now lets listen,look.and say icq; listen look and ..... start playing the audio then teacher proceeds to ask learners to open their mic and repeat what they heard

clarification (3-5 minutes) • clarify meaning,pronunciation

teacher shows the pictures of the book and asks learners1. what they look like 2.describe it like ; where is a zoo/concert hall/dairy farm how does it look like then ccq 1.are there farm animals in a museum,where are they 2.is this an art gallery,are there paintings or fishes 3.is this a theater,are there actors or singers 4.what animals are in aquarium,are there cows and sheep

language practice (5-7 minutes) • to provide controlled practices focused on using the language accurately

ask students to talk ,and tell the class which place they like to go if they have to pay to enter,which is their favorite place and discuss the reasons why questions will display on the screen and students got 2.3 mins to think for the answer teacher plays the song for the next activity,asks students to point at each familiar place they hear in the song,then open their mic and tell the class
