In this lesson students will talk about the features that call their attention in the context of restaurants. They will read two reviews and clarify the different uses of apostrophes. Finally, they will write their own reviews on a restaurant they have been to.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show them a slide and they will discuss.

Sample Analysis (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

I will share a slide in which students will be able to highlight verbs and underline apostrophes + s on the text I will check with MAF with students

Writing (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

a) Parallel writing I will share another slide with a new review and students will find the mistakes. b) Freer writing

Publishing and Feedback (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Students will give Fedback to each other using the next checklist: Does it mention location, atmosphere, food, service, or value for money? Is it formal or informal? Is the use of apostrophe, correct?

DEC (3-5 minutes) • to check Delayed error correction

Mistakes will be written on the board and students will help to correct them
