Procedure (45-59 minutes)
I show ss two pictures for computers now and from 20 years ago. Ss state the differences, and I write some of their suggestions on board.
I give the ss a text about technology in old days. Ss answer some comprehension questions.
I ask ss to write a sentence about how computers were different. They work in pairs to exchange their reports for peer reviews. I take notes about their language errors.
Ss are asked to fill in the blanks. T write answers on board and elicit past simple form from ss. T clarifies the meaning and form of the past simple. T reads the sentences and asks ss to repeat to practice pronunciation.
Ss answer questions in past tense. They work in groups to check their answers.
T asks ss to correct the mistakes in the given sentences. They work in groups. They report answers to teacher.
Ss are asked to search about the first cell phones and give presentations about them.
