In this lesson ,students will learn various expressions to say that they are surprising and are not surprising.The lesson will be started by discussion and ended with freer practice

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage ,T will ask Ss to talk about the topic and discuss some questions starting by asking Ss what time is it now in your country and telling them about time in her country. Using these questions; -What did you do yesterday? Did you go anywhere? How was your day?

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T will adapt Ex 2a that exposes Ss to the TL telling Ss to listen to the text and answer the questions. T will share the screen to provide visual support for the instructions.T will share Google Doc.Give Ss time to read statements .Tell Ss to listen individually and answer. Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T will share Google slides and jamboard with Ss to cover MAFP of the TL.Ask them to choose the correct options and decide if they're formal/informal or neutral. T will create a communicative task for learners to use the language fluently.Ss will think of a surprised situation they had using TL expressions to express their feelings .Ss can share in Breakout rooms and discuss.Monitor and take notes on good useful expressions.
