Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show a picture of coffee then ask the following questions and elicit the answers 1. What can you see? 2. I always drink coffee in the morning and usually in the afternoon. 3. Do you like coffee? 4. When do you like to drink coffee?

Exposure (4-5 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

A. I will present a quick game to the Students about the days of the week to check their knowledge about them Which day comes next? 1. Friday , ……….. 2. Sunday , ……….. 3. Tuesday , ……….. 4. Thursday , ……….. I will elicit the answers, then I will focus on the weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) B. After that I will present the following daily activities in a matching task they will do individually in the chat box then I will do OCFB. 1. Do the laundry 2. Listen to music 3. Clean the house 4. Cook 5. Watch TV 6. Play sports

Useful Language (7-8 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

LANGUAGE PREPERATION Then a short oral practice for the language in context using the following sentences in the handout (What do you do every day? S1) 1. I clean my house. 2. I watch TV. 3. I cook for my friends or family. 4. I do the laundry. 5. I play sports. 6. I listen to music. I will lead them to do the Google Forms activity to present time expressions about prepositions followed by time I will give them s 2 handout to practice the time expressions in context orally

Productive Task(s) (15-17 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

SPEAKING TASKS A. I will give a semi controlled speaking task to change the underlined phrases with listed options then I will give them OCFB 1. I clean my house every day. 2. I watch TV in the evening. 3. I usually cook for my friends. 4. I do the laundry on Friday. 1. stay in / in the afternoon 2. sleep / afternoon 3. go out with 4. Study English / (choose a day) B. Students will work in pairs to ask the following questions 1. Do you usually cook for your family or friends? 2. When do you usually study English? 3. What do you usually do on Saturday / Sunday / Monday / …..? 4. When do you usually visit your grandparents or cousins?

Feedback and Error Correction (5-6 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

In this stage I will give OCFB for the Ss. about the language good and bad points I expect that they will have the following mistakes: 1. Pronunciation (usually) 2. Activities they do usually or every day / week
