Main Aims

For Ss to revise present continuous in the form of positive, negative, question, the time words, function in the context of activities

Subsidiary Aims

For Ss to practice writing in the context of present continuous in the context of activities

Procedure (22-32 minutes)

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T asks Ss to choose a picture from their mobile photo library -T asks Ss to work in pairs and show it to their partner and answer the following questions 1.What are you doing? 2.What are you wearing? -Ss do the exercise, T monitors -T asks for feedback

Test #1 (4-5 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

-T asks Ss to complete the exercise using simple present or present continuous -Ss do the exercise, T monitors -T checks the answers with the whole class

Teach (4-6 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

-T elicits the form, function, and time words with present continuous -T clarifies them and state verbs

Test #2 (5-8 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

-T asks Ss to do the exercise -Ss do the exercise, T monitors -T checks the answers with the whole class

Free practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
