Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of Quantifiers in the context of recycling

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about Recycling in the context of The environment

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will show the students a symbol on the Jamboard and ask them to guess what it is T will show different pictures on the Jamboard and ask the students to discuss it in the breakout rooms

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

1.T will share the jamboard link and the audio with the students 2.will send students to work in groups in the breakout room 3.OCFB

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

T will show the students four sentences from the previous task and ask them to guess the meaning of each highlighted word from the sentences. T will ask them to identify the nouns that come after the quantifier.are they singual or plural .

Clarification (12-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Meaning T will give the students a table in the jamboard and they have to move the words into the appropriate column Breakout rooms as a group. T will conduct OCFB and summarize the content. Form T will give the students a google form with countable and uncountable nouns and type of quantifiers . T will ask the students to fill in the gaps with the negative form T will conduct OCFB and summarize the content. Pronunciation. T will share the jamboard with the students and ask them to Match the phonetic transcription with the approriate word Modal and drill. T will ask students to find the long and short vowel in the words. T will ask students to guess where is the stress in the sentences. T will conduct OCFB and summarize the content.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T will share share the jamboard with the students and do the first exercise together with them T will share a google form with the second exercise Students will share their answers in the breakout rooms OCFB

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T will show the students a slide on Jamboard with diffeent questions. Students will have to discuss and answer the question in pairs in the breakout rooms, Students are allowed to use the internet. OCFB
