Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T displays a picture of some types of food. - T asks students to work in pairs and write T or F to the questions given. - The teacher listens to ss and tries to elicit the answer from students. - T Tells students that we are going to talk about food in the future.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

- T introduces the new vocabulary to the ss - T shows a picture of the first word and try to elicit the answers fro ss - T tells the meaning of each word to the students - T asks about the part of speech -- T gets ss to repeat the pronunciation of the word. - T displays ho1 and asks ss to answer it. - T supports with feedback.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

- T displays ho2 and asks ss to have a look at the questions. - T plays the listening Audio and asks students to listen carefully and try to get the answer. - T assings ss to break out rooms to discuss the questions in pairs. - T monitors while in the break out rooms. - T listens to the ss answers and clarifies and supports with feedback.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T displays ho3 and asks students to read the questions quickly. - T assigns students to break out rooms and monitors while answering the questions. - T discusses the questions with students and listens to their views about life and food in the future. - T supports with feedback.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T displays ho4 and asks ss to work in groups T asks ssto name some foods that will be mainly in every house and kitchen in the future. - T monitors and gives time for students to share their ideas. T gives feedback and corrects some mistakes.
