To provide practice of collocations in the context of daily routines.
To provide practice of present simple in the context of habbits.
To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of daily routines.
Procedure (35-48 minutes)
Teaching introduces exercise where students will talk in pairs in BOR about their favorite time of day and then they will share their answers with the class.
T introduces activity where students will read a short dialog and then answer multiple choice questions to check for gist understanding. Students work individually for 2 minutes Students check their answer with a partner for 2 minutes. Open class feed back 2 minutes.
T introduces Guided Discovery Task. Ss work in pairs to complete guided self discovery task on Google Forms (5 minutes) T asks students to share answers with the group (3 minutes) Teacher shares google slides for MFPA (5 minutes)
T introduces Google Form where students will complete a fill in the blank activity. S work individually to fill in the blank (3 minutes) Ss check their answers in pairs using BOR and explain why they chose those answers. (3 min) Ss share answers with group and T asks how they arrived at those answers. (2 min)
T shares discussion question with the students and gives a demo: What is your sleep routine? Did you ever forget to set your alarm or wake up? Why? Students discuss while T monitors (8 min) T asks students to share. DEC
