Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T shows Ss a picture for an interview T asks Ss: What do you see in this pic? Have you been in this situation before? What kind of the questions does he ask? Ss answer and start taking about jobs experience

Pre-Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T shows Ss the 3 job profiles and sets the instructions -look at these 3 pics, read the profiles and answer these 2 questions what jobs did they use to do? what are they doing now? T asks ICQs; Are you going to read out loud? How many questions do you have? T lets Ss to share their answers in pairs. T pre-teaches some new words from the listening audio T gives Ss a matching activity to match the word with its definitions fed up: fɛd ʌp (adj) to be annoyed or bored, and wanting something to change depressed: dɪˈprɛst (adj) to be sad, gloomy and stressed terrible: ˈtɛrəbəl (adj) horrible, awful and extremely bad Ideal: aɪˈdil (adj) the best or most suitable and perfect thing Ss start to match individually T asks Ss to check their answers in pairs. T shows Ss the answer key.

While-Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information listening tasks

T sets the instructions: now we have 3 audios for 3 people to listen but before listening, read these 3 questions to answer while listening. T asks ICQs : How many questions will you answer? Are you going to read individually? after finishing, T asks Ss to check their answers in pairs.

While-Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more specific listening tasks

T sets the instructions: now we are going to listen again to the same audios, but this time listen carefully because you need to mark these sentences true or false T asks ICQs: are you going to listen quickly? are you going to match or mark? T asks Ss to check their answers in pairs. T showes Ss the answer key to check again.

Post-Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide a speaking chance to practice.

T sets the instructions: now we have 4 questions to discuss you are going to be student A & B ,T divides Ss into A & B Are you going to give short or long answers? How many questions? T monitors Ss while discussing. T gives the feedback after they finish.
