Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show 3 images to students and ask them "What can you see in these images?" After students give their ideas I will explain a little of the context of those images

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will play an audio and students need to complete some phrases and answer questions related to that audio individually, then, when they finished I will send them to brakout rooms and they will share their answers before giving feedback. Where does the guy wants to go? Where does he needs to go to arrive? The Plaza Hotel is past___ Turn the first___ Keep going for about____ Is the grand motel far? End of the street/around the street Go _____ and then go past the ________ and it’s on the ______

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

This will be a guided discovery, I will provide students with with a few concept checking questions about the topic: - How do I get to the hospital? - Where is the school? These questions are asked for: a) Ordering food b) Asking for a favor c) Asking for directions - Turn left at the end of the street - Go straight These phrases are used for: a) Giving advices b) Giving direction c) Buying a gift Appropriacy: Do you think this phrases are… a) Formal b) Informal c) Neutral Then I will shoe them some images about verbs and prepositions that they need to match to find the correct form. At the end there will be a showcase of pronunciation about some phrases. They will answer this in pairs

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

For this activity, I will send ss a link to a web page, there they need to answer some questions choosing the correct option for asking and giving direction. They will do this individually and then they will check in pairs before classroom feedback

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will show them a map with different places and locations, they will ask their partners for the location of places or how to arrive to a place, they need to ask and answer at least 3 times with its peer. At the end I will provide DEC
