Students are going to listen to a forecast audio in order to learn about weather. teacher is going to introduce ed puzzle that the students are going to work from. pictures and going to be used to introduce the lesson. student should guess the topic

Main Aims

  • Develop critical listening skills, encourage interaction, motivate students, improve listening skills, develop group and pair work, understand information provided, ability to speak

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide gist, specific information and detailed listening practice using a text about weather in the context of weather forecast

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To motivate students and encourage them to work

Firstly, students will guess the topic from the pictures. Students will make predictions and guesses and identify the topic after that, they will brainstorm them through using the IPads and picture on weather forecast

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To motivate group work and ability to access and use technology

Students will be introduced to the lesson and the teacher will ask questions and show students a map of the weather, students will work in groups and watch a Youtube video and answer the first activity on the Ed Puzzle application and give feedback to each other.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

students will listen for the first time to the audio after they finish they give their feedback. second, they are supposed to do the first activity by rearranging the cards first that contains the words by putting the words in the correct group on the smart board

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

students will try to guess the new words of the lesson Students will read questions of activity two and make guesses in pairs after that students will listen to the audio again and then correct their mistakes.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

students will be divided into groups and asked to present a weather forecast students have time to prepare and use google to search are write each student have a turn to present students will present it to class and the teacher and students will give feedback
