Description
This will be a functional language lesson with a focus on speaking practice
Materials
Main Aims

To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation, debate in the context of Cometic surgery
Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide gist and detailed reading practice using a text about Plastic surgery in the context of Plastic surgery
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
T will ask Ss to debate with their partner their opinion on cosmetic surgery.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
T will present Ss with a text over cosmetic surgery and elicit from the Ss the overall meaning of the text.
Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
T will present Ss with 4 phrases from the text book related to giving their opinion. T will check MFPA with SS SS will show understanding
Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
T will ask Ss what they would tell a friend if they wanted to get plastic surgery.
Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
T will do feedback and DEC with SS
