Class will be introduced by getting sts to talk a little about holidays and remind the characters (Sophie and Rob) and their destination (South Island, New Zealand) from last lesson. sts will make a list of things they take on vacation and check in pairs.

We will review together on WB some of the common items students take on holiday. Task1: Sts will be given HOs of picture depicting items Sophie and Rob are preparing to take on holiday and another with the words for them. They will work in groups of 3 to match the pictures to the words. I will nominate and ask for feedback on some of the ones that I think they know and some that may be confusing to cover on WB, with stress, pronunciation and drilling.

Explain difference between countable and uncountable nouns with examples first. Students will take vocabulary list. They will separate the objects into 3 categories on HO countable uncountable plural

Use HO activity to have students pair up and start thinking about quantifiers. Elicit answers and create timeline on WB to help create more understanding. a lot of lots of a few not many a bit of a little not much

Add 'some' and 'any' and give activity to be done in groups of 3 to get sts to use the vocabulary and quantifiers. Elicit FB by having a few write their answers on WB to check together
