Wednesday Teacher Notes to help with error correction: We make present continuous by adding ing to the base form of the verb. If the base form ends in an 'e' we drop the 'e' and add -ing unless it is a double e 'ee' eg: seeing If the base form ends in a single vowel and consonant eg: sit = sitting exceptions are consonants w,x,y eg: play = playing base form ending in ie eg: lie = lying base form ending in c eg: picnic add a k = picnicking
