Procedure (34-47 minutes)
T starts sharing about their experiences and reading culture of the places/country that they are currently live in. Elicit "blockbuster" in the context of explaining the challenges in getting your favorite books or movie tickets.
T pre-teach the vocabulary and drill the pronunciation with the help of pictures and phonemic symbol. Ask CCQs to check their understanding before moving on to the controlled-practice.
T sends a link to Ss and ask them to complete the quiz individually in the main room. Demonstrate how to use "Quizizz" and monitor closely as this is the first time they use it. Double check they have received the link before starting the task. Discuss the answers and provide feedback after the practice.
T reminds Ss to take a screenshot of today's TL. Ss to work in pairs and practice asking and answering questions related to their reading preferences. T monitor closely and provide feedback when necessary.
T shows the 4 questions on screen and asks Ss to brainstorm for a minute before sending them to the BORs. Reminds Ss to take a screenshot beforehand. Ss will be working in pairs and share their opinions and recommendation to their peers. T monitor with distance, provide feedback and error correction in the main room after the freer practice.
