Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T holds an item and asks Ss to suggest uses for it -Ss think of uses for it in groups -Ss tell the class about their suggestions

Clarification (12-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

- Meaning -T gives Ss a Google form link and Ss read a paragraph -Ss elicit the meaning by choose -Ss check in pairs -T provides an answer key Form:: - T gives Ss a Google form link and Ss match each sentence with the correct tense -T conducts OCD with CCQs to elicit the form: What are the parts of Passive? Be+P.P. Which part is changing with tenses? Be Pronunciation: -Ss listen to the 1st sentence and notice pronunciations of Be -T pauses and asks 'what do you notice about the pronunciation of the forms of verb Be?' Weak -Ss listen to the rest of the audio track -Ss practice Chorally and individual drilling Appropriacy: -Ss get Google form links, in groups, read the two paragraphs, and choose the paragraph style/language register --T provides an answer key

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

-T gives Ss a Google Jamboard link with information about 2 inventions -In groups, Ss choose one of them and talk about it using any 3 sentences in Passive -T conducts OCD and listen to Ss's sentences

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-In groups, Ss play a game, each group choose one item and try to provide 3-4 clues about it using Passive -Student tell their clues in an OCD and other groups try to guess

Feedback and Error Correction (4-6 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T provides Ss with feedback on content (ideas) and language based on monitoring of the task -T writes on the screen samples of learners’ production and sets a task in pairs for learners to identify the correct and incorrect sentences and correct the latter ones. -T conducts DEC
