Main Aims

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask students a lead-in question: How was your week? What did you do? I will ask students to discuss in pairs or groups in BreakOut rooms

Exposure (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Ss will tell practice gist reading to find the main topic of the text

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Ss will read a text that contains the target language Ss will match the questions with the highlighted answers Sss discuss in pairs T conducts OCFB

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Meaning I will give students a link to a Google form task. I will ask Ss to match the logical answers with the questions Students will figure the meaning by themselves and check in pairs OCFB will be conducted to check the meaning Form: Students will mark the question forms true or false Ex, When did he arrived? False Students will get check-in pairs T conducts OCFB with an answer key to figure form (Wh+ did+Sub.+ base form V.?) Pronunciation: Ss will listen to the questions and notice how we say Did you What did you do yesterday? /dɪʤə/ :

Controlled Practice (6-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Ss will get a link to a Jamboard task to put the words in the correct order of WH questions Ss check their answers in pairs T conducts OCFB

Free Practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ss will get some words to help them making questions or using their own ones: Ss will ask each other about their past life events on the timeline Ss will talk about there past life events

Feedback (2-3 minutes) • Feedback To provide learners with feedback on the completion of the task and language

-T conducts OCFB and asks for surprising info they got from their partners. -T writes on the screen samples of learners’ production and sets a task in pairs for learners to identify the correct and incorrect sentences and correct the latter ones. -T conducts OCFB
