Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson engage students and generate interest

- T shares a Google Jamboard divided in half with the following titles: Early Bird Night Owl - Ss use the sticky note function to write their name and post it on the side which best describes them - T asks Ss about their answers

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and provide context for the TL

- T shows a separate slide with pictures of people waking up/going to sleep - T asks Ss to think about their answer and asks the question, "What are some routine things you do when waking up/go to bed?" - T shares a Google Forms page where Ss check off activities that they routinely do - T checks Ss answers

Language Analysis (10-12 minutes) • Review MFP for TL

- T shares a Google Slides presentation covering MFP of using the verbs get, have, and feel in order to talk about routines - T asks Ss CCQs and has them provide their own examples of sentences using the TL - T reviews how to put each form of sentence into the negative

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To practice creating unique sentences using TL

- T shares a Google Sites page with different sentences where the verbs need to be filled in. T asks ICQs and has Ss work on their own to fill in their answers - T divides Ss into breakout rooms to discuss their answers - T brings Ss back into main session to ask about their answers

Freer Practice (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to practice TL freely through the use of open ended questions

- T shares a Google Slides page that has Ss think about scenarios that may affect their routines such as "if I don't..." and "If I do..." - T sends Ss to breakout rooms to talk to each other about how their routines might change - T brings Ss back to main session to talk about their discussions

Feedback and DEC (3-5 minutes) • Feedback on the freer practice and delayed error correction

- T provides feedback on freer practice exercise - T conducts DEC
