Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Prior to sharing the lead-in, T. will build rapport with Ss (1m min) T. will share with Ss the aim of the lesson. (1 min) T. will share on Zoom a Google Slide and ask students to speak in breakout rooms regarding the question. The question is: What do you prefer between modern and traditional things?. (2 min PW)

Exposure (2-3 minutes) • This will allow students to identify the TL through gist reading

T. will ask Ss. to read a passage that contains the TL for gist and answer a question regarding it on Google Form. This will be done individually. (2 min IW) T. will ask Ss. to write their answers in the Zoom chat box. (1min) T. Will ask Ss. to share their answers and justify them through OCFB.

Clarification (10-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T. shares a link to Google Slides on Zoom chat where Ss. will see four sentences with the TL in bold. There will be four meanings on the side. Ss. will be told to match the words with the appropriate meaning on their own slides. (2 min IW) Students will be asked to go over their work with classmates. This will promote STT. (2 PW) Ss. will be then asked to think of what is the correct form for the words in the previous exercise. Ss. will be asked to think about it for a minute and then in OCFB to think of which form goes with which word. If students have issues with pronunciation, choral and individual drilling will be done (2 min).
