In this lesson, the students are supposed to identify how to count the uncountable contents like a bottle of .. , also they are supposed to practice speaking sub skill to identify how to pronounce these sounds .

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of bottle of .. a box of ... jar of and etc in the context of shopping

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a debate in the context of uncountable food family


warm up (7-8 minutes) • To lead the students in the topic.

to ask the students about their feeling about shopping and which kind of food they like to buy from the supermarket.shows the students a picture about different types of uncountable words related to shopping and let them to guess what is in the picture.

lead in (3-5 minutes) • The students are supposed to identify the new vocabulary and study how to pronounce the new vocabulary

After the students are going to identify the picture they are going to practice ex1 to fill the gap based on a box with different types of food.

while listening (5-7 minutes) • practice on listening skill

The students are supposed to listen to a phone conversation to complete the phrases with the name of the container in ex 1 (pronunciation) CD 2.7

whie - listening #2 (4-5 minutes) • To practice prnouncing " of "and work on discovery guide.

The students are supposed to listen again to the CD and try to notice about the pronunciation of " of " . then they are going to try to repeat the list from their memory

POST- LISTENING (7-9 minutes) • To elicit the weakforms of the sentences and practice pronunciaton

The students are supposed to notice the sentences and try to repeat the the sentences to identify the weak forms and The teacher are going to elicit the correct pronunciation on the board by transcribing the a the sentences to check their pronunciation depending on ex 4 (pronunciation).

FEEDBACK (8-9 minutes) • To check the students answers to practice on different items of the uncountable family of food.

the students are supposed to work in pairs ex5 and take turns to remember and say many of the objects from page 134 . Then they are going to discuss their answers with the whole class and check them according to what they have learned through the lesson.
