Procedure (37-45 minutes)
T shows the Ss the pictures and asks: Do you know these websites? What are these websites for ? Do you like to use them to learn about restaurants and hotels? T explains: "talk to your partner about this websites and give your opinion about them. you have 2 mins to talk" T sends Ss to BOR in groups of 4 After they finish the T elicits response from Ss
T nominates different Ss to: "read and answer the question" CCQ: Understaffed is a synonym of too many employees or too few employees ? few employees CCQ: Is the staff a synonym of workers or customers? T nominates different Ss to: "read and answer the question" CCQ: Is overpriced a synonym of too expensive or too cheap? too expensive CCQ: Is Gucci overpriced or underpriced? overpriced T nominates different Ss to: "read and answer the question" CCQ: Is the meat in picture B overcooked or undercooked? overcooked CCQ: Is overcooked food healthy? No it isn't T nominates different Ss to: "read the vocabulary for the activity" T practices the pronunciation for "overcooked, overpriced and understaffed. T asks Ss: "do you have any questions about the vocabulary? T shares the Jamboard and instructs Ss : "Read individually the two reviews. Is the review about a hotel or restaurant? Did the person recommend this place? Why why not? You will have 1 min to quickly read the two reviews" T elicits the answers from the Ss. T copies the link in the Zoom chat and instructs Ss : Open the zoom chat and open the link. ICQ: "Did you open the link for the activity? yes " T instructs Ss to : "Complete the activity selecting true or false. You will have 2 mins to complete this activity individually. When you finish click submit " After Ss finish, the T sends them to BAO to discuss their answers. After 1 min they return and share their answers.
T instructs the Ss: "open the link in the zoom chat" ICQ: do you see the google form?" "You will write a good or bad review of a restaurant or hotel you went to. You have to write the review in the google form. You have to include all the requirements in the activity. When you finish, you have to select submit. The review has to be between 100 - 200 words. You will have 15 mins for this activity." ICQ: "What is the minimum word count for this activity? 100 words" ICQ: "What is the maximum word count for this activity? 200 words" ICQ: "Are you going to have 20 mins or 15 mins? 15mins" ICQ: "Are you going to write the review in your notebook or in the google form? in the google form" After students finish writing the review the T instructs the Ss: "I will send you into the breakout rooms. Copy paste the text in the chat and check your classmates text. Help them correct any mistakes and make sure they completed all of the requirements."
T instructs a S : "Tell us about your partners' review. Would you use the service they talked about ? Why or why not ?" T writes down information in the PP slide and gives comments and asks questions about the information. T then writes down the incorrect structures, spelling or grammar Ss used during the monitoring of the Productive Task and Feedback. T elicits Ss " help me correct this sentence, what is the problem?" T gives praise and writes down the correction. T concludes the class and thanks Ss.
