Description

In this lesson, students will learn about the people around them in their daily life. and how to use this words in sentences.by let them speak to each other in pairs and discuses the new information together.

Main Aims

  • by the end of this lesson, students will be able to use the new vocabulary in daily life conversation about the people around you.

Subsidiary Aims

  • The student will practice listening for specific information.

Procedure

lead in (5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1- T shows Ss picture about people gathering and start to talk about them. 2- T asks " if you going to take the same picture, who will be with you? " 3- T asks Ss to work in pairs. 4- open class feedback.

Test #1 (5-7 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

1- sit the activity in page 10 (1a) 2- T gives the student the handout for this one 2- student work individual. 3- T monitor to check and making sure that the Ss use the dictionary. 4- T asks Ss to work in pairs 5- open class feedback

Teach (10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

1-T asks concept-checking question (CCQs) " as clarified in language analyses 2-T drilling: a) choral b) group c) individual 3-T write on the board the words stress. 4- feedback

Test #2 (10-15 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

First part: (control) 1- T will sit (1b) activity page 10 2- T explains the new task, 3- Ss will work individual. (1-2 min.) 4- T ask the Ss to work in pairs and check the new vocabulary with their partners. 5- open class feedback. Second part: (freer) 1- T will set the activity (2) in page 10. (play the recording) 2- Ss will work individual. 3- T have to make sure that they finished this one before go to the next. 4 - T set the Activity (3) page 10. (speaking) 5- Ss will work in pairs and speak about their answers. 6-T monitors to check their discussion and write down some notes if there is any mistake. 7- T asks the student to change the partner and speak again.
