Description

In this lesson, ss will learn about dates and times in the context of international festivals. First, ss will be introduced to the hard vocabulary. Then, they will start reading a text about festivals around the world and match the descriptions with the festival pictures. next, they will practice in pairs some Wh questions about these festivals. This is followed by less controlled practice where ss come up with three famous festivals in their country. Next, ss will read an extract from an interview with a novelist about her favorite times and dates. Ss will have to match the questions with the answers to complete the interview. Then, ss will listen to two interviews for two people talking about their favourite times and dates, and complete the chart; this will be preceded by pre-listening activity where the context is set and new vocabularies are introduced.
